Doha: All preparations have been completed for the 10th Chaliyar Sports Fest being organized by Chaliyar Doha at Al Wakra Sports Club on Qatar National Sports Day.
Twenty-four panchayats situated on the banks of Chaliyar river in Kerala will participate in the sports fest.
The sports fest will begin with a colourful march-past with Indo-Qatar art and cultural heritage. Men’s swimming competitions will be held on Thursday, February 8 at 7 pm. The football pre-quarter, quarter-final and semi-final matches will be held at Al Wakrah Sports Club on Friday, February 9, from 3 p.m.
Chaliyar Doha President Zameel Abdul Vahid Chaliyam presided over a joint meeting of the Secretariat and Women Organizing Committee. General Secretary C T Siddique Cheruvadi welcomed the gathering.
