Toastmasters District 116 hosts Mega Open House

DOHA: Toastmasters District 116 recently hosted a successful Mega Open House, with over 90 corporate and community leaders in attendance.

Led by District Director Sabeena M K, DTM, the event showcased the District’s dedication to promoting leadership and communication development across Qatar.

Program Quality Director Alarmel Mangai, DTM, emphasized the District’s mission to empower individuals with critical communication skills. Region 8 Advisor Jennifer Helen Ghosh, DTM, delivered a keynote address on the benefits of Toastmasters for personal and professional growth.

Testimonials from corporate leaders, including Mohamed Eraky of Qatar Airways and Yasir Nainar of DPS School, demonstrated the impact Toastmasters has had on improving communication and leadership abilities. Other notable participants, such as Suhas Rogiye from Doha Bank and TM Subramanya Hebbagelu of Galfar Toastmasters, discussed the positive influence Toastmasters has had within their organizations.

Key figures like Rihan from KPMG, Shaheen Backer of Safari Group, and Madhu Uppal from DPS Monarch International School also shared how Toastmasters has fostered leadership development.

DTM Sonny Varghese, Past Region 11 Advisor and founder of Toastmasters in Qatar, shared his insights on growing the community. Club Growth Director Sherwin Olimpo, DTM, delivered closing remarks, thanking all participants.
