SIS wins second place in SOP 2023-2024 Handball Competition

DOHA: In a thrilling conclusion to the School Olympic Programme (SOP) 2023-2024, organized by the Qatar Olympic Committee, Qatar’s secondary girls’ Handball competition showcased exceptional talent and teamwork.

SIS’s handball team secured the second position in the competition.

“The journey to the finals was a saga of dedication and relentless hard work exhibited by our handball team. From the onset of the Group Stages, our team showcased exceptional skill and cohesion, progressing undefeated through each stage,” the school said in a press release.

The school handball team included Zainaba (Grade XII A), Nashwa (Grade XII-A), Maryam (Grade XII-A), Ameena (Grade XII-A), Thahseen (Grade XII 12-B), Neha (Grade XII-B), Saniya Saleem (Grade XII-C), Sania (Grade XI-D), and Alfinaz (Grade XII-B).

Their stellar performances contributed to the school’s remarkable achievement, inspiring future athletes.
