SIS hosts annual Parents’ Fest

DOHA: The Association of Parents and Teachers of Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS-APT) hosted its Annual Parents’ Fest 2024-2025 on Saturday under the inspiring theme “One Community, One Vision.”
The event brought parents and teachers together for an evening of connection and celebration inside the campus.

The festivities featured an art showcase, cooking competitions, essay writing, extempore, and painting contests, along with food stall, art stalls and potpourri of cultural performances of parent-child combo programs and family performances.
In inaugural address, Manikantan A P, President of the Indian Cultural Centre, applauded the active involve-ment of the parent community in school life. Rasheed Ahamed, President of the School, stressed the vital role of collaboration between parents and teachers in shaping students’ future, emphasizing that this partnership is crucial for the success of the educational community.
Rafeeq Rahim, Principal and SISAPT Chairman, reiterated the need for joint action and hoped that such pro-grams would ultimately benefit the student community in their learning journey.
