In response to a report in Al Sharq about the problems of the residents of Ain Khaled area due to car showrooms on Salwa Road using parking spaces allocated for residents by parking dozens of their cars, the authorities have ordered inspection teams to monitor the violations and ordered showrooms to move the cars parked on the streets and in public parking lots immediately.

Al Sharq reported that a source in the ministry said that they are working to strictly implement laws and regulations regarding the use of public parking spaces and the protection of the rights of residents.
As part of this campaign, the ministry’s inspectors conducted intensive tours of the streets and neigh-borhoods of Ain Khaled area, where many violations related to the occupation of public parking spaces by car showrooms were detected.

Immediate notices were issued to those showrooms, demanding that they move cars to designated sites away from residential areas.

Mustafa Adi said: “We thank the Ministry of Municipality for its immediate response to our complaint, as this step will restore order to the area and alleviate our daily suffering, especially since residents were forced to park their cars far away on Salwa Road and then return to their homes after walking long distances, due to car showrooms exploiting the parking spaces allocated to residents.”
