Sheikh Joaan visits the USA House; meets IOC member in Paris

Doha: H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, visited the USA House in Paris on the sidelines of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He was received by Gene Sykes, President of the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee and Member of the International Olympic Committee. H E Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, and H E Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain, Secretary General of the Qatar Olympic Committee, accompanied him.

He also met with Member of the International Olympic Committee Samira Asghari, on the sidelines of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Asghari is actively promoting sports among Afghan women, having had an inspiring journey from refugee to international basketball player and then the youngest member of the International Olympic Committee. He also participated in the reception ceremony for the Bahrain team participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
