Shantiniketan Indian School has decided to introduce double shift system with immediate effect with the special approval from the Ministry of Education, the school has said in a press release.

“The School has already started receiving scores of applications within the first hours since the announcement through its circulars and social accounts,” it said.
During the initial phase, registration will be limited to students holding Indian citizenship with a valid Qatar ID, and no internal transfers from local schools will be accepted, the school said
“It was an appreciable move from the Ministry of Education since hundreds of parents were left without any option but waiting for the next academic year at the cost of a whole academic year of their wards. The Embassy of India also has played a pivotal role in minimizing the severity of the issue through diplomatic efforts,” the school said.
‘Even though it was a surprise call from the Ministry of Education, we acknowledge that we are honoured with the official approval and we understand that it is a gesture of highest form of social commitment, displayed by the Ministry’, said Rafeeq Rahim, Principal of School.
The school has developed its operational plan in full compliance with the Ministry’s regulations, ensuring that instructional hours remain unaffected in both shifts.
