Rise Above 2025: DOM Qatar event offers valuable business insights

DOHA: Diaspora of Malappuram (DOM) Qatar, in association with the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC), and Baker Tilly as the main sponsor, successfully organized Rise Above 2025, a free business meet at Sheraton Doha.
The event, a first of its kind among the Malayali business community in Qatar, saw the participation of around 250 professionals from the Indian business and trade sectors.
Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy, Sandeep Kumar, inaugurated the event and highlighted the strong trade relations between India and Qatar. He expressed his hope that the initiative would serve as a valuable resource for business professionals in Qatar.
Rajesh Menon, Managing Partner at Baker Tilly Doha, delivered the keynote address and moderated the discussions. He emphasized the importance of strategic decision-making, risk mitigation, and seizing growth opportunities in Qatar.
He also shed light on overcoming cognitive biases in decision-making to ensure long-term business sustainability.
The event featured a discussion on global business opportunities, with distinguished panelists including Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Dalaimi (Board Member, Qatar Development Bank), Ahmed Rashid Al Musfari (Chairman, Maroon Capital Advisory), Gopal Balasubramaniam (Senior Partner, KPMG), Ajay Kumar (Executive Vice President & Head of Global Asset Management, QNB Group) and Mohammed Al Bara Sami (General Manager, Mekdam Holding Group)
Mashood V C, Chief Advisor of DOM Qatar, welcomed the gathering and IBPC President Taha Mohammed Abdul Karim presided over the event.
