Reception for Indian boy with disability

DOHA: Aasim Velimanna, an Indian boy suffering from 90% physical disability and a social activist who is visiting Qatar, was honoured by the Poonoor Health Care Foundation (PHCF) Qatar Chapter.

The reception for Aseem, a brand ambassador for the Health Care Foundation and an achiever in the differently abled category, was held at Multi Dine Restaurant in Fareej Nasser.

Dr. Jamal inaugurated the event, and President C P Samsheer presided over the function. Health Care GCC Coordinator C T Kabir gave the welcome speech, and Qatar Chapter Secretary Junaid P delivered the vote of thanks.

Mustafa T P, Basheer Khan, Shareef K, and Abdul Kareem extended their greetings. The restaurant’s MD, Abdullah, presented a memento to Aseem.

The event saw participation of Shameer P.H., Arshad V.K., Shareef K.P., Naeem P., Basheer C.T., Shamlan C.T., Shareef Madathum Poyil, Mubashir Shammas, Salim Thechi, Shafeeq, Azeez, Tasleem, and Aslam Kollical.

Aasim is working to materialize his dream of inclusive education and excellence. A 15-year-old boy from Kozhikode district of the southern state of Kerala, he was born without arms, and other disabilities.
Moving on a wheelchair, Aasim has added many achievements. He has won various national and international laurels.
