‘Rafi ki Yadein 2024’ celebrates legacy of Mohammed Rafi

DOHA: More than 1,000 passionate fans in Qatar celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary playback singer Mohammed Rafi Saheb at DPS-MIS school auditorium with a concert titled ‘Rafi ki Yadein 2024’.
The event was a heartfelt tribute to the timeless music of Mohammed Rafi with performances that captivated the audience.

Shahid Rafi, son of the legend and chairman of the Rafi Foundation of India, was the chief guest. Sha-hid touched the hearts of attendees with his anecdotes and reflections on his father’s legacy.
The stage was set ablaze by performances from renowned singers, including Mohammed Thoyyib, known as Qatar, and Sumi Aravind. Emerging talents Athira Gopakumar , Hana Thoyyib, and Vaishnavi Suresh also graced the stage.
“Rafi ki Yadein” brought together a diverse audience of distinguished guests including Ambassadors of Bangladesh and South Africa, HE Mohammed Nazrul Islam and HE Ghulam Hoosein Asmal.
Prominent community figures also attended, including Usman Kallan, President of DOM Qatar, Shreekala, President of WMF, Mashhood Thiruthiyad, Advisory Board Chairman of DOM Qatar, Sherif Usman, GM of Oriental Auto Parts, and Sanaullah, MD of Gulf Lights.
