The fifth edition of For My Love social service initiative, launched by Radio Malayalam, will be held in February, officials announced at a press conference.

The annual event, conducted with the support of the Indian community, seeks to bring to Qatar wives of 14 long-serving expatriates in Qatar for a week-long visit.

“This year, the wives of 14 expatriates, selected from hundreds of applications submitted by radio lis-teners, will be visiting Qatar. These expatriates have worked in Qatar for at least 25 years and belong to the low-income category,” Radio Malayalam & QFM CEO Anvar Hussain said.

“Arriving on February 18, these women will spend a week exploring the land where their husbands have spent most of their lives and will also attend various receptions organized by establishments and community groups. A grand community reception will be held on February 19 at the Holiday Inn Hotel, attended by dignitaries, officials, and others. Additionally, five senior expatriates residing in Qatar will also be honored during the event,” he added.

The For My Love initiative began in 2018 with 10 couple.

The press conference was also addressed by Radio Malayalam Deputy General Manager Noufal Abdu-rahman. Representatives of commercial establishments partnering with For My Love also participated in the official launch event.
