Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has launched its Ramadan Campaign 2005/1446 AH, under the slogan ‘Fruitful Giving.’ The campaign involves the distribution of Ramadan Iftar parcels to more than 538,000 beneficiaries in 16 countries during the holy month of Ramadan, as well as year-round humanitarian and development projects for over two million beneficiaries in Qatar and 11 other countries.

During a press conference on Wednesday, QRCS Secretary-General Faisal Mohamed Al Emadi said: ” In light of the recent humanitarian events regionally and globally, as well as the worsening humanitarian crises lasting for years or even decades – from Syria to Gaza, from Sudan to Yemen, and from Bangladesh to Afghanistan, to name just a few – there is a growing sense of fraternal and humanitarian responsibility towards the victims of conflicts, disasters, poverty, and climate change in the most affected areas.

We are more determined than ever to pursue the mission that we have embraced with absolute dedication and faith,” he added.

“Thanks to the generous support from the people of Qatar, we can make a difference in the lives of thousands, or even millions, of people desperate for a helping hand, lighting their way with an abundance of generosity and compassion. Together, we make the fruits of giving grow, blossom, and bring a smile on the faces of fasting people around the world,” Al Emadi said.

Al Emadi indicated that the Ramadan Campaign 2025/1446 AH is divided into two parts. The first is the Ramadan Iftar projects. Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, food parcels will be distributed to 538,688 fasting persons in 16 countries.

The second part includes year-round humanitarian and development projects.

Locally, there are eight permanent projects aimed at supporting the most vulnerable groups with emergency aid, empowerment and awareness programs, health services, and educational initiatives.
These projects will cover some 23,000 widows, divorced women, orphans, older persons, special needs, patients, students, and defaulters.

Internationally, QRCS plans to launch a total of 136 projects for the benefit of nearly 2 million people in 11 countries Palestine (Gaza and the West Bank), Syria, Yemen, Niger, Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan, Lebanon, Jordan, Bangladesh, and Mauritania.

QRCS has identified several methods and locations regarding donation methods to the Ramadan Campaign ‘Fruitful Giving 2025/1446 AH.’
