QRCS participates in Red Cross and Red Crescent Conference in Amman

AMMAN: An official delegation from Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has participated in the 11th Red Cross and Red Crescent Conference for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), held by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), which is hosted by Jordan National Red Crescent Society (JNRCS) over two days in Amman, Jordan, and is part of the preparations for the 2024 Constitutional Meetings in October.

The conference addressed various key agenda items, including the humanitarian situation in Palestine, impact of complex crises on humanitarian needs, transformative role of the Movement regarding humanitarian issues, stronger youth and volunteer empowerment, alignment of National Societies’ resources with ongoing developments, keeping pace with global humanitarian transformations through transformative partnerships, and regional strategic plan 2024-2028.

Secretary-General of QRCS Faisal Mohamed Al Emadi chaired a general session on “National Societies Preparedness for the Future”.
