DOHA: In a heartwarming display of community spirit and solidarity, members of the Govt. Engineering College, Thrissur Alumni, Qatar Chapter (QGET) organised an iftar event at the MES School Auditorium. The event witnessed the participation of approximately 250 individuals, including family members of QGET members.
Tomy Varkey, president of QGET, welcomed the attendee, and iroz PT delivered the Ramadan message, underscoring the importance of perseverance and maintaining spiritual and physical purity.
Senior members of QGET including Mathew Francis, Saleem, Rajan CK, John EJ, Sherif, Abdul Aziz, Joy, and PK Muhammed graced the occasion, offering their invaluable insights and wisdom to the gathering.
Gopu Rajasekhar, General Secretary of QGET, offered felicitations, emphasizing the significance of such gatherings in fostering a sense of belonging and unity among members.
Event coordinator Ilyas Saleh expressed gratitude to all participants for their unwavering support.
Also members had the opportunity to delve into the heart of community farming at MES School , through the “Grow Your Green Food (GYGF)” initiative spearheaded by QGET.
