Qatari gifts camel to Akram Afif for superb performance in Asian Cup final

Doha: A Qatari citizen has gifted a camel to Akram Afif, the national football player, in appreciation of his superb performance which helped Qatar win the Asian Cup 2023 in the final match with Jordan. 

Hadi Anan Al-Jadna gifted an Al-Qahidiya camel to Afif.

Afif had scored a hat-trick of three goals to win the coveted Asian Cup title for Al Annabi.

“The Qahidi camel is one of the best Qatari camels, as I could not find a better camel than this one to present as a gift to our excellent and creative player Akram Afif, who was one of the most important reasons for the team winning the Asian Cup title for the second time in a row,” Hadi Al-Jadna said in an interview with Al Sharq newspaper.

He added that this gesture and the desire to present the camel to Afif came after watching the team’s matches. 

Al-Jadna said he greatly admires Afif’s performance, and the camel he presented also symbolizes the Qatari prestige, as this camel is considered an authentic Qatari symbol and key part of heritage.
