Qatari forces intensify preparations to secure Paris 2024 Olympics

DOHA: The Qatari security forces are continuing their preparations and undergoing intense field training to participate in and secure the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The Ministry of Interior published, through its official account on social media platform X, a video clip showing the training.

The video shows training for first aid and transporting the injured, with the participation of members of the Thunderbolt Forces, and training to combat terrorism and riots.

The Qatari security forces also received training in defusing and removing explosives using the latest technologies.

The national cadres gained tremendous knowledge and experience during Qatar’s hosting of major global events, in crowd management and securing the public, using the latest technology, drone surveillance, cybersecurity, explosives disposal and removal procedures, foot and horse patrols, and combating terrorism and riots.
