Qatar is all set to launch a new residency visa programme to attract the best of the world’s talent and entrepreneurs in a wide variety of fields, reports have said.
The new visa programme, called the Mustaqel, is being spearheaded by Jusour – the Qatar Manpower Solutions Company – and is available in two categories: for entrepreneurs and professionals.
The most important feature of the new visa programme is that it offers a five-year residency permit to live and work in Qatar with the option of future renewal. In the ‘Entrepreneur Visa’ category, business owners can apply, especially small to medium enterprises, whose business models must be approved by a Qatar-based business incubator.
Application is through online mode.
In the second category of the ‘Talent Visa,’ professionals in various fields like arts, entertainment, sports, and technology can apply.
Like the Entrepreneur Visa, the applicants will require a talent endorsement from a relevant Qatari organization who will issue an ‘endorsement code’ for the purpose of providing in the application.
Mustaqel grants several incentives to applicants like asset ownership, residency benefits as well as family visas for family members.
