Qatar Airways is the most followed airline on social media.
Qatar Airways revealed that they are now the number-one airline across social channels in the world with 47 million followers.
The Doha-based airline has nearly doubled its social media followers across all channels in the last 4-5 years.
It holds the number one position on Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
Some carriers such as AirAsia Group, Emirates Group, Singapore Airlines Group, and Qantas Group are also some of the most followed airlines. In 2020, Qatar Airways had 26 million followers across all social media channels. It has been Number 1 on Facebook since 2014, Aviation A2Z website reported.
Now, the Doha-based carrier is under the leadership of the new CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer as Akbar Al Baker stepped down last year after serving for 27 years or since the launch of Qatar’s national carrier.

In 2020, Qatar Airways had 20 Million followers on Facebook and has reached the 30M milestone in just four years.
The airline has around 3.4 Million followers on TikTok and is growing fast on this platform. However, some countries such as India have banned the platform and it affects the airline in gaining more followers, the Aviation A2Z website report said.
Qatar Airways has nearly 2 Million Followers on X, previously known as Twitter. The airline has posted around 88,000 posts on this social media page.
Further, the airline that flies to 170 destinations across the world has 6 Million followers on Instagram. It posts less frequently on Insta and so far posted around 3300 posts.
As per the latest data, Qatar Airways has 3.52 Million Followers on YouTube. So far QR has posted 665 videos on YouTube.
