Over 40 Indian companies participate in Project Qatar 2024

Over 40 Indian and Indian-owned companies are participating in the ongoing 20th edition of Project Qatar at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), which runs from 27 to 30 May 2024.

H E Vipul, Ambassador of India to Qatar, inaugurated the Indian pavilion and Indian stands at the exhibition and invited the industry and businesses from Qatar to visit the Indian Pavilion and explore the possibilities of collaboration to promote stronger ties in the fields of construction and manufacturing of building materials, between Indian and Qatari companies and businesses.

A delegation of 20 Indian companies, led by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises of the Government of India and coordinated by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is participating in the exhibition, alongside over 20 Indian-owned companies based out of Qatar.

The Indian Business and Professionals Council and Kerala Business Forum are also coordinating with Indian exhibitors to showcase India’s capabilities and offerings in the construction sector.

The Indian Pavilion comprises of companies engaged in wide-ranging sectors, including building materials, construction equipment, MEP services, and architectural design.

Exhibitions like Project Qatar will further boost bilateral trade and commerce between the two countries, which stood at over USD 14 billion in 2023-24. Mutual investments between India and Qatar are also growing.

Project Qatar is the biggest and most prominent trade exhibition specializing in construction materials, equipment, and technologies in Qatar.

The four-day event brings together 120 international companies from 25 different countries, and 130 Qatari companies.
