Old buses and taxis will not be allowed to cross Abu Samra border: MoI

The Ministry of Interior has announced that taxis whose operating age exceeds five years from the date of manufacture, and buses whose operating age exceeds 10 years from the date of manufacture will not be allowed to leave the country through the border crossing at Abu Samra.

The ministry said that this comes in accordance with the regulations related to the transport of goods by trucks, and the transport of passengers by buses and taxis, via land route.

“In accordance with the regulatory directives concerning the transport of goods by trucks and the transport of passengers by buses and taxis via land routes, vehicles with an operational age of more than five (5) years from the date of manufacture are not permitted to cross the border via Abu Samra border crossing. Buses with an operational age of more than ten (10) years from the date of manufacture are also not allowed to cross the border via Abu Samra border crossing,” the Ministry said on X.
