DOHA: News Trail spearheaded a groundbreaking initiative to cultivate the next generation of journalists at the Junior Journos Workshop held at Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS) in Doha on Saturday.
The event attracted students from various schools across the country, creating a collaborative environment for budding journalists to hone their skills and gain insights into the dynamic world of media.

The workshop included interactive sessions, discussions, and practical exercises deepening their understanding of the functioning of various kinds of mainstream, digital and social media. Participants delved into key topics essential for shaping their future.
The diverse range of subjects covered at the workshop included Writing & Editing: Achieving Excellence; Fundamentals of Digital Marketing; and Instagram & YouTube: Path to Stardom. The sessions encouraged students to express their perspectives, ask probing questions, and collaborate with their peers in exploring various aspects of media.
“This workshop has been an eye-opening experience for me,” said a participant from one of the schools “I’ve learned so much about communication, media and creative writing,” another participant said.

Rafeeq Rahim, Principal, Shantiniketan Indian School, was the chief guest at the function. The speakers were Hussain Ahmad, Executive Editor, News Trail; Jossy Abraham, Digital Marketing Manager, Gulf Times; and Godwin Isaac, Correspondent, News Trail. Prof. Manmadhan Mampally welcomed the gathering and Roopendu Sanil Kumar, Senior Executive – Marketing & Communication, coordinated the event.
