AMMAN: A new shipment of Qatari aid, including 55 tonnes of tents and health supplies, provided by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), arrived in Jordan by land, in preparation for its entry into the Gaza Strip in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization.

The shipment was received by Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater.

The Minister of State oversaw the unloading of the shipment at the warehouses of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization.

The arrival of the shipment was witnessed by the Official Spokesman and Director of Operations and Consular Affairs at the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Sufyan Qudah, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Jordan Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al-Thani, and Secretary-General of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization Dr. Hussein Al-Shabli.

Al Khater praised the efforts of the Jordanian Organization in facilitating the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Jordan lauded Qatar’s role in providing humanitarian aid to Gaza, and the cooperation between the two countries in delivering it to those under siege in the Strip.

Qatar Charity (QC) and the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) have continued to provide humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip since last October, in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization.

This aid comes within the framework of the State of Qatar’s support for the brotherly Palestinian people, and its full support for them during the difficult humanitarian circumstances they are currently facing.
