Multilingua Fest celebrated at MES

DOHA: M E S Indian School celebrated ‘Multilingua Fest – Bhasha Sangam,’ recently with an array of cultural performances by students.

‘Language Gala,’ a glimpse into India’s diverse languages, captivated the audience as it showcased a unique relationship between languages and their historical evolution.

The Chief Guest of the event was Ashraf Sharafudheen P T Director, M.E.S. Governing Board. Also present were Neelambarï Sushant, Head of Domestic Workers’ Welfare (ICBF), Sreekala Gopinath, a prolific writer, S Mani Bharathi, President – Qatar Tamizhar Sangam, and Obaid Tahir, Imam, a journalist, and author of several books in Arabic and Urdu.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Hameeda Kadar, the school Principal stated, ‘Unity through languages is essential for fostering inclusivity and harmony.’

The event also celebrated the unique combination of languages, including Arabic, French, Hindi, Kan-nada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
