MES Abu Hamour student wins bronze at Int’l Nuclear Science Olympiad

Aditya Vivek, a student of MES Indian School’s Abu Hamour branch, has won the Bronze medal in the prestigious International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO) held in New Clark City, the Philippines.

The event took place from August 1 to August 7, 2024, and was organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) of the Philippines with the support of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Aditya was part of a four-member team representing Qatar, selected and trained by nuclear scientists and instructors from the Ministry of Education & Higher Education, Qatar. The competition featured grueling examinations that tested participants’ skills and knowledge in nuclear science, with competitors hailing from 14 countries.

The event attracted over 60 contenders, along with 27 team leaders and 14 observers.
