Men and women, many wearing keffiyeh, hold prayers for Haniyeh

Thousands of people gathered at the Imam Abd al-Wahhab Mosque in Doha on Friday to attend the funeral prayers for Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated in Tehran.

Men and women, many of them wearing the keffiyeh, the traditional Palestinian scarf, and carrying Palestinian flags, came for the funeral prayers despite Doha’s punishing heat, which hovered around 45 degrees Celsius.
