DOHA: Expats working in Qatar from Malappuram district in the southern Indian state of Kerala have formed a new organization.
Malappuram Jilla Pravasi Association Qatar (MAJESTIQ – MALAPPURAM) was launched at a function held at Vibrant Hall at Thumama in Doha on Friday, the association said in a press release.
Many prominent expats from Malappuram from diverse fields attended the launch function. The name of the association was unveiled by a team led by Ashraf Chirakkal and a documentary on the rich cultural and historic heritage of the state was screened at the function.
Muneesh A C and Shafi Parakkal made a presentation on the objectives, future plans and activities of the organisation. Nihad Ali, Ashraf Chirakal, Suhail Shantapuram, Hussain Kadannamanna, MT Nilambur, Star Mustafa Haji, Koya Kondotty and others spoke at the function.
Vinod Puthanveettil welcomed the gathering and Jithin proposed a vote of thanks. Riyaz Ahmed was the anchor.
