Doha: P Chekku Musliyar and V Hamsa Iruvetti were selected for the fourth Eranadan Prathibha Award organized by Qatar KMCC Eranad Constituency Committee in memory of P Seethihaji.
The names of the award winners were announced by P K Basheer MLA at a function held in Doha recently. The winners were selected by a four-member jury comprising P K Basheer MLA, C P Saidalavi, Dr Abdusamad (Qatar KMCC State president) and Savad Veliyankode (KMCC Malappuram District President).
The award, which carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a citation, will be presented in February at a function to be held in the native places of the awardees. Muslim League national leaders, MPs, MLAs and district leaders will attend the function.
P.V. Muhammed Areekode, M.I. Thangal, M.C Muhammed Haji were the last three winners of the Eranadan Prathibha Award.
Qatar KMCC Vice-President K Muhammed Easa, Eranad Constituency President Ajmal Areekode, General Secretary Ahamed Niyas Moorkanad, Vice-President Safeerussalam Edavanna, and Treasurer P K Abdul Manaf spoke on the occasion.
