IYC International organizes Qatar Youth Conclave

DOHA:As part of its annual campaign, the IYC International organized “Porbandar Back to Gandhi,” the Youth Conclave 2024, in Doha.

A table talk on the topic “Back to Gandhi” took place at the ICC Hyderabad Hall, serving as a discussion platform for youth representatives from various socio-cultural organizations in Qatar.

The session focused on the relevance of Gandhian principles in changing circumstances and gained attention for its practical exchange of ideas.

IYC General Secretary Mashik Mustafa delivered the welcome speech, while Chairperson Shahana Ilyas presided over the event.

The discussion began with a keynote address by Qatar University faculty member and former KSU vice-president, Nayeem Mullungal. Youth representatives from various organizations, including OICC INCAS Youth Wing (Ajat Abraham), Samskruti (Sreenath Sankarankutty), KMCC (Saleena Kooloth), Youth Forum (Arif Ahmed), Incas Youth Wing (Lijo Erayi), Focus Qatar (Safeerussalam), KWIQ (Asha Chungath), World Malayali Council (Subina Vijay), and RSC (Ubaid), participated in the discussion.

The event conveyed the message that Gandhian principles must be passed on to the next generation through our own actions. IYC Program Chief Coordinator Hafil Ottuvayal delivered the vote of thanks.
The organizers announced that further events would be held as part of the “Porbandar Back to Gandhi” campaign.
