Indian Physiotherapy Forum Qatar elects new committee

DOHA: The Indian Physiotherapy Forum Qatar (IPFQ) has elected its new office-bearers for the term 2024 to 2026.

A president and 10 new managing committee members were elected at a general body meeting. IPFQ is an association of Indian physiotherapists working in private and public sectors in Qatar.

Sheena John as elected as president, Prasobh Jacob as Vice President, Shahir MT as General Secretary, Nivedita Vishwanathan as Joint secretary, and Shanavas Neelikandy as Treasurer.

Managing Committee members who will lead various committees to oversee the organization’s upcoming activities are Reshma Gaurav, Mohamed Hussain, Arun Kumar, Nikesh Balan, Jasman Abdul Kader, Zulfeequer C.P.

In her inaugural speech, the new president thanked the members for their support and confidence in electing her to the post.

IPFQ’s outgoing president Mohamed Shafi handed over the organization’s official ‘Constitution’ to symbolically transfer the office to the new elected president.

The general body was the final event organized by the former committee where the report of the activities of the past two years was presented by General Secretary Biju Nirmal Jacob. Former Treasurer Shahir M.T presented the audited financial report of 2022-2024.

Roshna Madhur expressed vote of thanks.

IPFQ is a professional body functioning under the aegis of Embassy of India, Doha, and is an associate organization with Indian Business and Professionals Council in Qatar (IBPC).
