INCAS Youth Wing Malappuram organizes Inter-School Athletic Meet

The Inter-School Athletic Meet for CBSE students, organized by the INCAS Youth Wing Malappuram Chapter, took place on the occasion of Sports Day at the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) campus. Marking its debut with Season 1, the event showcased athleticism, sportsmanship, and community spirit, with more than 500 students from various schools across Qatar participating.

The event was inaugurated by Abraham Joseph, General Secretary of the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), with the prize distribution ceremony being led by Shanavas Bava, President of Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), alongside Nihad Ali, General Secretary of Indian Sports Center (ISC). Sandeep (President, INCAS Malappuram), Ashiq (General Secretary, INCAS Malappuram), Siddique Cheruvalloor (Treasurer, INCAS Malappuram), Shihab Naranipuzha (Vice Chairman, IYC International, Qatar), and Hadi (Treasurer, INCAS Youth Wing) played a crucial role in making the event a grand success.

The event began with a lively march past, followed by a memorable moment when Indian junior international badminton player Riya Kurian and Qatar’s junior marathon winner Ifra Zafreen carried the ceremonial torch. The torch was handed over to Sharafudeen NMK, President of INCAS Qatar Youth Wing, and Sijo Nilambur, General Secretary of INCAS Qatar Youth Wing, Malappuram, symbolizing unity and sportsmanship.

In the competition, Olive International School emerged as the Overall Champions, clinching first place, while Shantinikethan Indian School secured the second position. Loyola International School took home third place.

The event drew an overwhelming crowd of around 1,200 spectators, including students, parents, and organizers.
