IIS team excels at Taekwondo Championship

DOHA: Ideal Indian School bagged the overall championship in both the boys’ and girls’ categories of the re-cently held CBSE Qatar Cluster Taekwondo Championship. The competitions were held in six catego-ries and Ideal Indian School swept the championship in all of them. Ideal Indian School won a total of 25 gold medals in the boys’ category and 19 gold medals in the girls’ category.

Sixty-four students from IIS qualified to participate in the CBSE National Taekwondo Championship, to be held in India during the month of October.

Principal Shaik Shamim Saheb congratulated the department on their remarkable success and appreciated their undying spirit and dedication in training and preparing the students for the tournament.
