The Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), in collaboration with the Embassy of India, is gearing up to host an Indian cultural event, Bharat Utsav 2024, on Friday, October 25, 2024. The event will kick off at 5 pm at the prestigious Al Mayassa Theatre, located within the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

Bharat Utsav 2024 promises to be a grand celebration, showcasing India’s rich and diverse cultural her-itage through vibrant performances.

A key highlight of the event will be traditional Indian folk dances, with performances from different states of India, offering audiences a unique glimpse into the nation’s cultural diversity. The event will feature contributions from various Associated Organizations (AO) of ICC and students from Indian schools in Qatar.

With more than 40 folk dance forms on display, the four-hour cultural celebration will captivate at-tendees from different cultures. According to Vaibhav A Tandale, First Secretary, Embassy of India, over 60 teams have registered to participate, but only the top 40 will be selected to perform in front of an expected record-breaking crowd this October.

“This year’s Bharat Utsav will be grander than ever,” said Tandale. “The ICC, with the support of the Indian Embassy, is committed to bringing India’s cultural heritage to the forefront, and we assure that the event will be an unforgettable experience.”

Entry will be through passes, which will be issued by the ICC at a later date. Details will be available on ICC’s social media channels, the organisers said.

Vaibhav A. Tandale, First Secretary at the Embassy of India, along with ICC President A P Manikantan, ICC Vice President Subramanya Hebbagelu, and other ICC officials, addressed the press conference.
