Health Ministry temporarily shuts health facility for illegal hiring

DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), represented by the Department of Healthcare Professions, has announced a temporary administrative closure of a health facility in addition to taking the necessary legal action against it for detecting violations related to hiring four health practitioners before completing the procedures of obtaining their professional licences and allow them to practise health professions in Qatar.

The health ministry has emphasized the importance of health facilities following health regulations and refraining from employing healthcare professionals until they have obtained their required professional licenses. Healthcare practitioners are also required to adhere to the regulatory laws pertinent to their specialized fields and maintain ethical standards in their practice.

Furthermore, the ministry has clarified that its inspection and monitoring visits serve the purpose of enforcing compliance with regulatory laws, enhancing the standard of healthcare services, and safeguarding patient well-being.

Members of the public have the option to verify the professional licenses held by healthcare practitioners by visiting https://dhp.moph.gov.qa/en/Pages/SearchPractitionersPage.aspx.
