The body will be flown to India for last rites after completing the procedures, community sources said.

The tragic accident caused an outpouring of grief on social media, with several people asking parents to be cautious about their children crossing roads inside residential compounds.

“Everyone please take care of your kids. Yesterday, a 5-year-old boy met with an accident and lost his life in Barwa Madinatina while crossing from park to his building. It may not be possible for the vehicles to stop suddenly when kids run out of nowhere. So please make your children aware of the road safety measures before sending them out to play,” one message shared widely on social media said.
