Expat bodies plan grand musical tribute to Mohammed Rafi

DOHA: Doha Waves, in collaboration with Diaspora of Malappuram (DoM) Qatar and World Malayali Federation Qatar, is organising a grand musical evening titled “Rafi Ke Yaadein”. Celebrating the timeless legacy of legendary playback singer Mohammed Rafi, the event will be held at DPS School, Al Wakrah on Thursday, November 21, at 7:00 PM.

Mohammed Rafi’s son and Chairman of the Rafi Foundation, Shahid Rafi, will be attending the event.
The event will witness the presence of distinguished guests including ambassadors of India, Bangladesh and South Africa.
The highlight will be the re-creation of Rafi’s evergreen classics by Qatar’s Rafi Mohammed Tayyib and renowned playback singer Sumi Aravind.
