Doha Students’ Summit concludes on a grand note

DOHA: The Doha Students’ Summit, organized by the prominent student organization Insight Qatar, concluded on a grand note.

The summit was held at the Awsaj Academy Auditorium within Qatar Foundation. Dr. Vaibhav Tandale, Head of Chancery and Consular Affairs at the Indian Embassy and ICC Coordinating Officer, inaugurated the event.

In his address, he emphasized the need for students to adapt to the evolving realities of modern life by embracing the potential of emerging technologies.

Fatima Al Mahdi, Acting Director of Programs at Generation Amazing, Qatar Foundation, delivered an insightful session on career prospects for the younger generation. Highlighting the unpredictable and dynamic nature of today’s career landscape, she illustrated, through various examples, the importance of developing adaptable skills.

In the afternoon session, renowned social analyst C.P. Abdussamad spoke on the topic “Spider Network.” He reflected on the detrimental impacts of post-modern technologies and social media on human life, urging students to remain mindful and form a clear perspective on life.

Prominent technologist and CEO of Adapt, Umar Abdussalam from Kerala, engaged with students on the topic “AI, Cybersecurity, and Ethics: Navigating the Future of Careers.”

In his valedictory address, Naveer Rahman Farooqi highlighted that beyond academic excellence, students must grow into morally conscious individuals who contribute positively to their families and society.

The summit, entirely student-led, spanned four diverse sessions from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The inaugural session was presided over by Insight Qatar President Sinan Abdhunnasir. General Secretary Wafa Abdullatheef, Welcome Committee Chairman Mashhood Thiruthiyad, and President of the Qatar Indian Islahi Center Shameer Valiyaveettil also addressed the gathering.

Dignitaries present included ICBF President Shanavas Bava, ISC President E.P. Abdurahman, IBPC President Thaha Mohammed, KMCC Acting General Secretary Twahir Thahakutty, KIC General Secretary Zakariya Maniyoor, CIC representative Firoz Vadakara, and community leaders Nihadh Ali, Shaneej Edathannattukara, Jasmin Naseer, Bushra Shameer. Insight office bearers Fatheen Faris, Nuaym Mashhood, Ammar Aslam, Swalih Mullaveettil, Safin Riyas, Huda Sajid Ali, Sana Haneen, Naif Afsal, and Nuh Mashhood were also in attendance.

The event was anchored by Ramsiya, Yumna, Aman Muneer, Haneen, Sidra Shameer, Fis Raeef, and Fella Aslam.

Leadership and organizational support were provided by Rasheed Ali V.P., Ajmal Pulikkal, Hamad bin Siddique, Ameer Shaji, Dr. Raseel Moitheen, Riyaz Vannimel, Ashiq Beppur, Ali Rashad, Unity volunteers, and MGM representatives.
