Doha Darbar hosts Ghazal ka Karisma at ICC

Doha: Ghazal ka Karisma, a ghazal night hosted by Doha Darbar at the Indian Cultural Center, captivated the audience.

Jyothi Sharma, a recipient of numerous accolades from India and Malaysia, mesmerized the audience with her classical ghazals, while Doha-based singer Sakeer Sariga added his own touch to immortal songs.

Sakeer’s soulful rendition of Mehdi Hassan’s “Zindagi mein to sabhi” marked the beginning, accompanied by the renowned Tabalist Roop Chouhan from Pakistan.

Favourites like Chupke Chupke, Abke Hum Bichde, Kaise Chupaaoon, Aaj jane ki , Ae mohabbat tere, Renjish hi sahi and many more created a special atmosphere, enhanced by Sound Engineer Renjith Raveendran’s craftsmanship. Pratapan accompanied with flute, Kadar in harmonium and Mojin supported in keys.

During the event, Doha Darbar honoured visiting artists Roop Chouhan and Jyothi Sharma. Mohammed Shanavas presented a memento to Roop Chouhan, and K K Usman awarded Jyothi Sharma, recognizing their exceptional contributions.

The initiative was led by Ashique Ahmed and supported by dedicated team members Mohamed Najeed, Shareef, Shiraz, Najeeb Thoufeeq, Sudhan and Hamsa, and Doha Darbar has been hosting such delightful shows since 2018, bringing together music lovers in the community.
