Doha-based student is world topper in ACCA exam paper

Doha: A Doha-based student has become the world topper in a paper in the ACCA December 2023 examinations.

Devansh Ranjan Pattanayak, a former student of Birla Public School in Doha, who hails from Mumbai in India, became the top scorer worldwide in Advanced Performance Management (APM), one of the 13 papers in ACCA exams.

“I am delighted to inform you that your performance in the ACCA December 2023 examinations was outstanding and you achieved the highest mark worldwide for paper Advanced Performance Management (APM) with a score of 87. To recognize your achievement, you will receive £200 prize money and a certificate of merit,” Ann Lamb, Director, Professional Qualifications at ACCA, said in a certificate issued to Devansh.

The global pass rate in this paper is only 34 per cent. Devansh was also the topper in Qatar in three ACCA papers.

Students from a large number of countries regularly attend the ACCA exams.

Devansh is the son of Ranjan Jagdish Pattanayak, who works with QChem, and Pritha Pattanayak, an arts tutor.
