Citizens call for more facilities at Doha Corniche

DOHA: Many citizens have stressed the importance of improving the facilities at the Doha Corniche as it’s a major tourist destination in the country, which is characterized by its picturesque beauty.

Speaking to Al Sharq, they said although the Corniche has witnessed a qualitative development in infrastructure and other vital facilities, it still lacks many basic recreational facilities to return to what it was intended for – tourism and entertainment for tourists and families.

During their conversations with Al-Sharq, a number of citizens criticized the absence of restaurants (kiosks) and water refrigerators on the Corniche, stressing the importance of the presence of such service facilities for the public because it is considered one of the most important basic factors that contribute to attracting individuals and families to the Corniche and enjoy its beauty and do physical exercise, such as walking and cycling.
