CAAK Qatar organizes Inter-Collegiate Badminton Tournament

DOHA: The Confederation of Alumni Association of Kerala Qatar (CAAK Qatar) organized an inter-collegiate badminton tournament. More than 32 teams competed in the tournament held at Al Rayan Private School.

In the semi-professional category, Sijomon and Shafiq of St. Thomas College won the first position while Taha Faisal team of SN College was the runner-up.

In the intermediate category, Shuhaib Sadiq team of MAMO College won the first position, while Rajesh Vysakh team of SN College got the second position and Shafi Shafiq team of PSMO College got the third position.

In the women’s category, Salwa Jaza team of PSMO College won the first position and Riya Nafla team of MAMO College won the second position.

Trophies and cash awards were presented to the winners at the closing ceremony by President Abdul Asees Chevidikunnan , General Secretary Sirajuddin Ibrahim, Treasurer Ghafoor Calicut, NVBS Founder and Chief Coach Manoj, CEO Benazir and Zubair Pandawat.

Raoof Kondotty, a member of the CAAK Qatar Advisory Committee, spoke. Secretary Asha Gopakumar expressed vote of thanks. Badminton Tournament Coordinator Shameer, Sreekumar, Shahnaz Babu, Ajith, Shaheem Mepat, Suhara Mujeeb, Siddique Cheruvallur and Munas conducted the tournament.
