Renowned Indian businessman in Qatar and Director & CEO of Jumbo Electronics C V Rappai’s autobiography A Tale of Two Journeys was launched on Friday at a function held at Holiday Inn in Doha which was attended by family members, friends and community leaders.

The book was launched by Indian Ambassador to Qatar Shri Vipul by presenting a copy to Joseph John, Programme Editor at Al Jazeera English. The event was also attended by Dr Mohan Thomas, Founder Chairman of Birla Public School and Philanthropist and Educationalist; and Hussain Ahmad, Executive Editor of News Trail.
A Tale of Two Journeys is published by Katara Publishing House in Doha and is the first of its autobiography of an Asian expatriate in Qatar. Witten in an evocative and lucid style, the book gives readers a comprehensive look into Rappai’s struggle and success, his unique experiences in life, perspectives, and management philosophy, and also valuable insights into Qatar’s early days of progress.

Lauding the book, Mr Vipul said: “I feel this is the book that does great justice to a life that started in Kerala and which is being lived here later to the successes he has achieved,
“The book shows in various parts both the courage and conviction of Mr. Rappai and it flows seamlessly and also shows the calmness associated with him,” he said.
“Katara Publishing House is happy to publish A Tale of Two Journeys, which I think is a first of its kind autobiography by an Asian expatriate in Qatar. Mr Rappai’s story is a shining example of how expatriates work hard in Qatar and reach the pinnacle of success in every field, making use of the ample opportunities our country provides under the wise leadership of H H Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani,” said Khalid Al Sayed, Author, Columnist & Director of Events and Culture Affairs Katara Cultural Village Foundation.
“I would also call this book a celebration of hard work. Every individual, whether a technocrat or an entrepreneur, carries with them many proud moments and unique experiences which I think they have to share with others in the form of a book and this can inspire others in these tough times,” C V Rappai said.
The book has 253 pages and 23 chapters.
