BPS student emerges second runner-up in Orma speech contest

DOHA: Ann Liza Shaiju, a 9th grader of Birla Public School, has emerged as second runner-up in the prestigious Orma International speech competition organised by Orma International, Philadelphia, USA.
Ann won the contest in the Junior English category in which there were 308 participants.
Orma is an international association of overseas resident Malayalees. Orma speech contest is known for its rigorous selection process and global reach, and attracts participants from around the globe.
Ann reached the finals following rigorous competition with hundreds of students in multiple rounds. The finale was held at St. Thomas College, Pala, Kerala, recently.
Missile woman of India, Tessy Thomas; Santhosh George Kulangara, Founder and Director of Safari Channel; Miya George (Actress), Nipin Niravath (Mentalist and Mind Reader) Aneish P Rajan (Deputy Secretary at Culture Ministry) attended the function.
