Birla Public School will commence double-shift operations starting January 15, 2025 in compliance with the directives from the Ministry of Education, the school has announced.

“Our commitment to providing quality education in a safe and supportive setting remains unwavering. Accordingly, all necessary arrangements have been made to implement the double-shift system effectively, without compromising the quality of education we deliver,” Dr. Anand Nair, Principal, said.
The school has issued a circular to all parents informing them of the decision and with details of the double-shift system.

The circular says the school has finalized a plan that aims to minimize disruption and inconvenience to parents while complying with the directives issued by the authorities. As part of the plan, the following adjustments will take effect starting from 15th January 2025. “KG 1 divisions and Grade V divisions from the Main School campus, and Grade 1 divisions from both Primary 1 and Primary 2 campuses, will be transitioned to the second shift in the afternoon, which will be conducted at the Main School campus, Abu Hamour,” the circular said.

For Grade KG 1, the school timings will be 11:30 am – 3:30 pm at Campus Main School; for Grade 1, the timings will be 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Main School; and for Grade 5, the timings will be 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Main School.

Transport arrangements will be informed shortly, the circular added. “You might be aware of the recent ongoing regulatory guidelines related to campus capacity across all our three campuses and the subsequent implementation of the Hybrid Learning System. We have made every possible effort to continue the current arrangements at least until the end of the current academic year, keeping in mind the challenges which will be faced by our parent community. However, despite our best efforts, it has become imperative that we must comply with the directives issued by the competent authorities,” the circular said.
