Ashghal completes about 95% of construction work on Al Wakra Park

Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has completed about 95% of the construction work on Al Wakra Park, which began in 2022 to replace the old Al Wakra Public Park.

The Authority has completed preparing the walkway, installing fitness equipment and children’s games, and building facilities including toilets, prayer rooms, a barbecue area, the main square designated for events, and the artificial lake, Al Raya reported.

During the project, Ashghal was keen to preserve the plant and tree components of the old garden.
The Al Wakra Park project is located on an area of 46,601 square meters, and the green carpet constitutes 70% of its total area, to contribute to improving the climate, reducing temperatures and reducing carbon emissions, and to add an aesthetic appearance, and make the park an attractive and enjoyable place.
