Iftar tables expected to serve 300,000 individuals during Ramadan
Each meal costs QR 23; three philanthropists contribute QR1.8m

DOHA: The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) announced that the Iftar initiative has seen a strong turnout across various regions at the start of the holy month of Ramadan.
The ministry emphasized that the Iftar tables have been strategically placed in areas with high population density to maximize their impact.
Chairman of the Iftar Saem Committee, Mohammed Yaqoub Al Ali, highlighted that the ministry’s Iftar tables are expected to serve approximately 300,000 fasting individuals throughout the month of Ramadan 1446 AH.
He expressed deep appreciation for the benefactors and donors whose contributions continue to sustain this charitable project, stressing that Iftar Saem embodies the spirit of solidarity within Qatari society.
Al Ali also noted that three generous philanthropists have fully sponsored the Iftar tables at Muraikh, the Industrial Area, and the Thursday and Friday Market in Ain Khalid for the entire month. Their collective contribution, amounting to QR1.8 million, will provide 100,000 meals throughout Ramadan.
