Fourteen spouses of long-serving expatriates in Qatar, who were not able to bring their companions to Qatar during their long years of work here, were given a community reception which was organized by Radio ‘Malaya-lam 98.6 FM at Holiday Inn Hotel in Doha recently.
The 14 wives were brought to Qatar for a visit under a CSR initiative called ‘For My Love’ launched by Radio ‘Malayalam 98.6 FM’. Their husbands have been working in Qatar for more than 30 years, and could not af-ford to bring their spouses to Qatar.

This is the fifth season of the initiative, the previous ones being in 2018, 2019, 2023 and 2024 in which 10, 11, 12, and 13 couples, respectively, were able to enjoy the offer.
The radio listeners selected the top 14 from the nominees in the campaign. The event – the couples’ tour of Qa-tar – takes place from 18 to 23 February 2025. An RJ from Radio Malayalam accompanied the visitors from Kerala, India, to Qatar.
The selected couples come from different life circumstances, mostly trying to overcome hardships in their lives and move forward.
The community reception was attended by community leaders, media persons, businessmen, and other invited guests.
