Friends 11 Cricket Team celebrates15th anniversary

DOHA: Friends 11 Cricket Team marked a significant milestone as they celebrated their 15th anniversary with a vibrant event attended by around 140 guests, including present and past team members, families, and guest players.
The event was held at Athlens Sports Events, showcasing the team’s long-standing presence and im-pact in local cricket.
Jamnas, manager of Friends 11, welcomed the gathering. Marakkar, co-founder of the team, delivered the presidential address, reflecting on the journey from the team’s humble beginnings to its current success. He was recognised by Janeesh, owner of Friends 11.

The event was inaugurated by former president and manager of the Oasis Cricket Team.
The team’s evolution from a small group founded by Marakkar and John Paul in 2009 to a professional cricket team with a sub-group, FR11, and numerous guest players from various nationalities — includ-ing India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan — was celebrated.
The evening also featured cultural performances, including by Qissa Muttippatt, Qatar.
