World Cup star Ghanim Al Muftah addresses UN assembly’s Summit of the Future

DOHA: Qatar’s World Cup opening ceremony star Ghanim Al Muftah achieved another milestone in his life as he addressed the the UN General Assembly during the opening of the Summit of the Future on Sunday.

Ghanim Al Muftah’s participation in the United Nations broke barriers and opened doors for meaningful conversations about disability and inclusion.

“As I look around the room, I don’t see anyone else like me. But you have accepted my differences without prejudice, gender, nationality, race, or religion. You have accepted all of me,” Ghanim said during his speech.

Ghanim al-Muftah captivated audience at Al Bayt Stadium during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening. He enthralled the crowd while sharing the stage with Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman.
