Qatar Toastmasters District 116 empowers leaders to elevate growth, engagement

DOHA: Toastmasters District 116, Qatar, held its second District Executive Committee Meeting (DECM-2) for the 2024-25 term at the Crowne Plaza – The Business Park, Doha, bringing together key District leaders, Division Directors, Area Directors, and senior members.

This event underscored the District’s commitment to leadership development, personal growth, and community impact, as participants strategized on elevating communication and leadership skills across Qatar.

District Director Sabeena M K, DTM, emphasized the importance of this gathering, stating, “This meeting is a cornerstone for the District’s vision of excellence. By equipping our leaders with the necessary tools, we aim to foster a culture of empowerment that extends beyond Toastmasters, impacting communities and professional landscapes throughout Qatar.”

Program Quality Director Alar Mel Mangai, DTM, and Club Growth Director Sherwin Olimpo, DTM, stressed the importance of quality and growth within clubs. Leadership training sessions by DTM Mohammed Murad, Past International President, and DTM Thayalan K, Past District Director, highlighted the power of effective leadership and collaboration.

The introduction of Hamad Al Yafei as the DTAC 2024-25 Chair also set the stage for an impactful year ahead.
