The latest data of Qatar Central Bank shows that the total value of the country’s stock of gold has hit QR30.7 bn in July 2024, and this is considered the highest ever in the country, CNBC Arabia has reported. The data also shows that gold reserves represent 16 percent of the total official reserves of Qatar.
According to the World Gold Council, Qatar ranks 38th globally in the ownership of gold with more than 106.4 tonnes.
